How does builder-to-homeowner access work?
When a builder invites a client to a project, the homeowner gets free collaboration access via app.studspec.ai or the iOS app. They can review approvals, follow progress, and access shared project records without buying a separate builder plan.
Can I try before I buy?
Yes. Builder plans and the Developer API include a 7-day free trial so you can validate the workflow before committing.
Do homeowners pay separately?
Not when they are invited by a builder. Separate homeowner plans are only for self-managed projects or long-term standalone use outside the builder-led workflow.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade as your project volume and seat needs change. Upgrades apply immediately and downgrades take effect at the end of the billing period.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You can export project data at any time. We do not delete your data unless you explicitly ask us to.
How does Team seat billing work?
Team pricing is per-seat with a 5-seat minimum ($195/month). Add or remove seats at any time — billing is prorated mid-cycle via Stripe.
Do you offer an API for developers?
Yes. The Developer API ($99/month) provides REST endpoints for photo analysis, document extraction, notes summarization, and more. Visit developers.studspec.ai for documentation.
